e.max CAD/Press: crown, inlay or onlay?
e.max is a glass-ceramic that looks very much like tooth enamel. It is used for crowns and veneers, and also for inlays and onlays, which rebuild a damaged tooth without a full crown.
Inlays and onlays
Say a tooth has a big filling that is about to fail, but the tooth walls are still strong. Then a ceramic inlay or onlay can be made. It fills the damaged area and saves the healthy part of the tooth. Less is trimmed away than for a crown.
CAD and Press
These are two ways of making e.max: milling by machine (CAD) or pressing (Press). The material is similar, but the methods differ. Ask the clinic which one they use.
Who it suits
People who want a very good-looking result and want to keep as much of their own tooth as possible. A badly damaged tooth needs a crown, and the dentist will tell you whether an inlay is enough.
What it costs
Ceramic crowns, veneers and onlays come in three levels:

Prices are a guide, taken from the partner clinics' price list (prosthetics from 22 March 2026, implants from 30 March 2026), in Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH). The dentist gives the final figure after an examination.
